The American Police Hall of Fame: Law enforcement exhibits from the Wild West to the modern day. Hours: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily except certain holidays. Brevard Community College Astronaut Memorial Planetarium and Observatory: Theater offers shows and movies about astronomy and natural science. Exhibits include a scale replica of the Hubble Space Telescope and a moon model. Admission: $4 for children younger than age 12; $6 seniors, students and military; $7 adults. Exhibit halls and shows are Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Rooftop observatory hours are dusk to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Brevard Zoo: More than 550 animals and 165 species from Latin America, Florida, Asia, Australia and Africa. Interactive exhibits, alligator and crocodile demonstrations, river otter feedings, a train journey and kayaking. Accreditation by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums since 1997. Open daily from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., with last admission at 4:15 p.m. Admission: $10.50 for adults; $9.50 for seniors 60 and older; $7.50 for children ages 2 to 12; free for younger than 2. Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex: Get a behind-the-scenes look at NASA's space program, shuttle and rocket launches; see the shuttle launch pads; walk under the Saturn 5 rocket; the Rocket Garden; view IMAX films; experience the $60 million Shuttle Launch Experience, a ride designed by NASA and astronauts to simulate launching into space from Earth aboard a space shuttle. Visit the nearby U.S. Astronaut Hall of Fame featuring astronaut mementos, historic spacecraft, hands-on activities, virtual moonwalk, G-force simulator, land a shuttle and sit at a mission control console. Paradise Skatepark: Features an 18,000-square-foot outdoor park and 10,000-square-foot indoor street course. Bikes, boards and blades are welcome with proper safety gear. A miniature golf course has 18 holes winding through elaborate landscaping. Hours: 3 to 9 p.m. Mondays through Fridays, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturdays and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sundays during the school year. When school is out, hours are 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Mondays through Fridays, and weekend schedule is the same. Fees vary.
