SPACE COAST AREA TRANSIT

Space Coast Area Transit provides public transportation in Brevard County through fixed-route bus systems, transportation for the disabled or disadvantaged, vanpool programs and commuter assistance. A beach trolley runs north and south and welcomes surfboards and bikes.

The routes include stops at major shopping centers, government centers, social services agencies, colleges, universities and hospitals. Weekend and evening service also is available in some areas. All buses have wheelchair lifts.

The system's north terminal is at 401 S. Varr Ave., Cocoa. The south terminal is at 460 S. Harbor City Blvd., Melbourne.

GREYHOUND BUS LINES

Greyhound maintains terminals in Titusville and at Melbourne International Airport.

MELBOURNE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

Melbourne International Airport is served by Delta Air Lines and Vintage.

Charter flights are available, primarily through Baer Air, which offers travel to destinations in the United States and throughout the Caribbean, 321-453-2605.

Transportation to and from the airport is readily available via the Melbourne Airport Shuttle, which offers door-to-door service. Taxi, bus and limousine service, as well as rental car agencies also are available.

The airport also serves aviation tenants, including Florida Tech.

ORLANDO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

About 35 miles west of Titusville, Orlando International Airport is a major air-travel hub and is the fourth largest origin and destination airport in the U.S.

The airport is served by dozens of international and domestic airlines, including American Airlines, Continental, Delta, Southwest and United.
